Fundraiser welcomes new equipment
Last November, Chloe Reid, our head girl 2018-19, began fundraising for a defibrillator at St Francis Xavier School.
We initially asked for donations from students and staff, and through this we were able to raise a substantial amount of money. Chloe and the school were absolutely delighted to receive an anonymous donation of £500 from a member of our school community which enabled us to surpass our target of £1,000.
Chloe (now a student at Carmel College) and the school would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed, both staff and students, the anonymous donator, and Daniel Campbell from Platinum Medical for enabling us to be able to provide this lifesaving equipment. We hope that a situation does not arise where it is needed, however if it is, it is available for anyone in the immediate area to use. It is located at the front of the school and is registered with the emergency services.
